Overpopulation : A Serious Problem
The problem of overpopulation arises when the population of a species surpasses the carrying capability of its ecological slot. Overpopulation is a function of the amount of individuals compared to the significant resources, such as water and essential nutrients they require for their existence. It can be an outcome of an increase in birth rates, a decline in mortality rates, an increase in immigration, or an indefensible bio-me and exhaustion of resources.
