IRCC is using PR Conformation Portal for the following purposes.
- To confirm that you are in Canada (Inland applicant)
- To Confirm your current address in Canada (To send your 1st PR Card)
- To Get your Passport Picture for your PR card (For PR Card)
How to Reply to PR Confirmation Portal Email?
When you are receiving your confirmation portal email, you have to go through the steps mentioned in the email about the information to be sent to IRCC. You must respond to that email with the details which are as follows:
- Your email ID is what you want to keep in the PR confirmation process. (Try to give your email ID in case you have an authorized agent so You will get further documentation)
- If you have a spouse/dependents, will you be acting on their behalf or not. (My suggestion is to reply separately for a spouse from their email ID)
- Personal Details of Applicants/Dependents (Name, UCI, Email, Original Entry Date, Date of last entry, location of last entry)

Note: You can copy the above script and paste it into MS Word or Notepad. Then fill in your details and then copy and paste it in your portal reply email. Don’t change your subject line.
- You must reply to the same email which you got from IRCC or Your Agent. Don’t send them a new email.
- Don’t edit the subject line of the email while you reply.
- In case you have authorized any agent, You should put your email ID in your reply instead of the agent’s email id thus you will have further communications on your email ID.
What to do after PR Confirmation Portal Email Reply?
Upon sending this email, wait until you receive the login ID and password for the PR confirmation portal. Sign in to this portal using your login ID and password: https://prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login
Now you can confirm your presence in Canada, confirm your address, and upload the photo. Once done, wait until you receive your Electronic Confirmation of Permanent Residence (e-COPR). At this point, you are done and are a Permanent Resident of Canada (YAY!!).
You should receive your PR card in the mail within a few weeks!. After you get eCOPR, You can link PR card application to MYCIC Account to track the progress of your PR Card.
